What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Bookkeeper (Elementary) position at Watertown Elementary?
EFFECTIVE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR
Qualified applicant must have minimum of high school diploma or GED. Post-secondary education or training is preferred.
Must have basic understanding of generally accepted accounting procedures and preferably at least one (1) year of experience in maintaining financial records.
The successful candidate will perform duties associated with the effective financial operation of the school for the school-wide general fund, as well as the school materials of instruction accounts.
This is a 240-day, bondable position that requires a high degree of accuracy, accountability, and confidentiality. Pay rate will be determined by experience and placement on Grade 9 of the Hourly Support Salary Schedule. The starting rate of pay will be no less than $19.48 per hour.
