Rate of Pay: $15.75 - $16.25

Position Summary:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The teacher aide maintains a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals, promotes the potential of all youth, and provides a quality experience to both youth and their families.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in the daycare
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and naptime
- Assist with behavior management and discipline when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the daycare facility
- Communicate with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
YMCA Competencies (Leader):

- CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required (Will train with-in 90 days)
- Child Abuse Prevention training required within 30 days of hire
- Previous experience working with diverse populations
- Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds
- Ability to plan, lead, and participate in program activities in a variety of indoor and/or outdoor settings.
- Available to attend training and meetings as required.
- Commitment to inclusion and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
- High School Diploma and experience with working with children
