Description
The Porter is responsible for meeting the needs of the internal and external Hospital customer and supporting the department by providing a variety of hospitality services. Prepares and cooks salad and dessert items for patients, cafeteria, and special functions, following standardized recipes that yield consistently high quality products. Inventories and maintains dish chemical and sanitation stock. Facilitates garbage and recyclables removal. Maintains floor and dish sink sanitation. Washes dishes, pots, and pans following all procedures necessary to provide a safe and sanitary outcome. Checks in and puts away all food and paper product deliveries. Inventories and maintains stock in food and paper storage areas. Maintains assigned Hospital areas in a clean, orderly and attractive condition by performing a variety of cleaning activities.
Full time, Day shift, includes a weekend rotation.

Qualifications:
- No education requirements. Less than High School.
- Able to read and write; follow verbal instructions.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills and behaviors.
