What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teller 1 position at Watertown Savings Bank?
OBJECTIVE: To represent Watertown Savings Bank in a courteous and professional manner. Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer services, involving receipt and payments of cash, and to recognize customers’ needs with suggestions appropriate to the Bank’s services with sound judgment and knowledge of all banking products. Follows the established policies and procedures for this area, in accordance with the Bank and the supervisor’s direction.
DAILY ACTIVITIES: Daily Activities Include, But Are Not Limited To The Following:
Accepts checks for cashing, receives checking and related accounts; accepts deposits, verifies cash and endorsements, makes change, and issues receipts
- Receives savings deposits, pays withdrawals after verifying balance and signature; redeems U. S. Savings Bonds.
- Receives loan payments when payment due notice or installment loan coupon accompanies payment.
- Performs various balancing functions, including ATM’s.
- Processes night deposits and mail in deposits
- Sells money orders, cashiers checks and other Bank services.
- Responds to customers’ inquiries as appropriate
- Maintains proper cash level in drawers, keeps cash secure, and maintains a high level of safety for the Bank.
- Services the ATM according to the schedule or need.
- Complete address changes, check orders, research requests.

Physical Demands: Position requires sedentary to medium physical demands. Employee may exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently or up to 10 lbs of force constantly to move objects. Daily movement includes, but is not limited to holding, grasping, turning or otherwise working with hand or hands.
