We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Unit Manager, LPN / RN to join our leadership team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a designated unit within our skilled nursing facility, managing nursing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of care for our residents. You will play a key role in coordinating care, fostering a supportive environment, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
Qualifications for Unit Manager, LPN / RN :
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)or Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a long-term care or acute care setting.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team to achieve excellence in patient care.
- Strong understanding of nursing practices, regulations, and long-term care standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make clinical decisions independently and in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Compassionate, resident-centered, and committed to promoting quality care.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and manage sensitive resident information confidentially.
Responsibilities of Unit Manager, LPN / RN :
- Manage and supervise the nursing team for a designated unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for residents in collaboration with physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure that all nursing practices comply with state, federal, and facility regulations, as well as industry best practices.
- Oversee medication administration, treatment delivery, and accurate documentation of resident care.
- Monitor residents' health conditions, vital signs, and progress, making adjustments to care plans as necessary.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff, including coaching, training, and fostering professional development.
- Promote a collaborative, team-based approach to resident care, ensuring effective communication among all departments.
- Ensure proper staffing levels and assist with scheduling to ensure continuous, high-quality care.
- Respond promptly to any emergencies or critical situations, coordinating appropriate care and interventions.
- Contribute to facility-wide quality improvement initiatives, infection control, and compliance efforts.
- Participate in care conferences and family meetings, providing education and updates on residents' conditions.
