Summary

As a Bookkeeper at Waterways Irrigation Inc., you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes. This role is vital to our mission of delivering exceptional service by providing reliable financial insights that support our business operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
• Utilize accounting software to maintain financial records and generate reports.
• Analyze accounts to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Assist in budgeting processes by providing accurate financial data.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
• Support year-end closing processes, including audits and tax preparation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in corporate accounting or bookkeeping roles.
• Strong proficiency with accounting software; experience with Quicken is a plus.
• Solid understanding of accounts receivable, debits, credits, and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate account analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with budgeting processes is beneficial but not required.
