Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization to meet corporate and division goals,

  • Solid finance and business acumen with demonstrated experience managing P&L and analyzing
sales and market data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to exercise initiative, judgment,
and discretion.
  • Prior experience attracting and retaining top talent and building high-performing teams.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Technology-oriented, proficient with Microsoft Office Suite as well as sales management and
Business Intelligence software.
  • HVAC industry or distribution experience preferred.
  • Strategic and tactical market expansion planning and execution.
  • A strong track record in driving sales while ensuring operational excellence.
  • Developing and successfully executing strategic business/growth plans.
  • Clear ability to prioritize top activities and minimize distractions.
  • Building and leading projects and diverse teams, aligning customer needs with operational
delivery in a matrix environment. Working collaboratively with other Divisions and Gemaire
centralized functional teams to build the organization and culture.
  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on senior sales and operations leadership experience; two-step
distribution and/or B2B environment preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field required; MBA preferred but not
required.
  • Ability to travel as required/ up to 50% of the time

And here is what you will need to be successful:

The Division President is responsible for developing and implementing the overall vision, along with full
P&L management, for this division of Gemaire Distributors, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Watsco, Inc.,
the largest HVAC Distributor in North America.
This role involves creating and executing an implementation plan that includes budget, forecast,
operations, channel management, product development, and partnerships. The Division President will be
part of Gemaire’s executive management team and will play a crucial role in shaping the strategy for
future growth. Each division comprises sales and support staff, as well as geographically dispersed sales
centers, each an established wholesale HVAC distributorship carrying multiple brands of equipment,
parts, and supplies.


Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Represent Gemaire as a leader in the industry ensuring maximum sales, profitability, and
operational function.
  • Engage business unit leadership in the vision and strategy, implement and lead effective
governance and management, and develop a high-performing team culture built on strong internal
relationships.
  • Drive growth through dealer acquisition, product innovation, and market execution.
  • Evaluate competition, customers, and opportunities as they relate to existing products and
potential product development opportunities, ensuring well-defined product and technology
roadmaps.
  • Own and drive product line performance and profitability, including new platform development,
cost positioning, pricing strategies, competitive analysis, and product lifecycle management.
  • Develop, implement, and execute a strategic business plan for the division, including achievement
of assigned metrics such as financial forecasts and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop market strategies and solicit new accounts and dealers. Secure maximum market share
and sales dollars consistent with established sales policies and programs.
  • Establish targets and articulate a clear vision on the challenges and opportunities facing the
Division.
  • Ensure team members execute the Division’s short- and long-term sales and operations goals
and objectives.
  • Manage, motivate, measure, and increase the production of Regional Managers, Territory
Managers, and Sales Center Managers.
  • Resolve customer relations issues with both dealers and end users when necessary.
  • Manage the division’s P&L, implementing process improvement and technology to maximize EBIT.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
