What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Strategist Intern position at Watson Design Group, Inc.?
Overview
Watson is looking for a Data Strategist to assist in supporting the strategy team with quantitative and qualitative insights across social, digital, and the 360º campaigns. The ideal candidate is a skilled analyst who has experience working across entertainment and traditional brand marketing who is capable of not only mining for data-driven insights, but turning them into actionable strategies.
At Watson, data and analytics form the foundation of strong strategy, and the Data Strategist is our point-person when it comes to understanding our audiences, our own brands & their competitors, our content, and the entertainment industry at large. Collaborating closely with the entire Strategy Team, you will define and analyze audience segments, develop custom reports, build and maintain a social media database, and organize and present proactive and reactive data points, all in service of identifying creative insights and opportunities.
Reporting to the Strategy team, this position will support all new business pitches with audience segmentations, industry landscape analysis, and social media & listening audits-ultimately working with the Strategy lead to develop a strategy-driven campaign proposal. On active campaigns and retainers, the Data Strategist will keep a keen eye on outcome data on social and other platforms, building reports that help refine our strategy on the fly and keep both account and client teams up to date on campaign performance.
