Job Description
Watson Engineering (located in Southern Utah) is a full service engineering firm looking for someone who loves working in the dirt and interacting with people on active construction job sites. We put both in the description because not everyone loves working with both, and we respect that.
Willingness to listen to clients, to teach, and to help our clients be successful with their projects. We don't need anyone looking to be "right", but to serve with the right motivation. This position is often the face of our company out in the field, working with contractors to get passing results for their project.
This position is perfect for someone willing to learn. We can train all aspects of this position. We are looking for someone that knows how to hustle, has a great attitude and is dependable.
Responsibilities
Work with clients to obtain passing tests for compaction, concrete, asphalt, etc.
Identify soil types and conditions, provide quality and reliable test results.
Be very responsive with staff and clients by phone/text.
Be willing to go the extra mile to exceed client expectations.
Complete field checklists and all documentation.
When not running tests in the field, help with completing lab testing.
Qualifications
Need to be able to lift 60 lbs easily, and work outdoors.
Construction experience a plus.
Inspection experience a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
