Watson Mills & Design is a leader in high-end residential millwork, producing architectural cabinetry, paneling, trim, and doors for some of the most exceptional homes in the Rocky Mountain region. We’re hiring a Drafting Engineer to join our Engineering team and help bridge the gap between concept and construction with precise, buildable shop drawings.

- Ensure all drawings are internally coordinated, field-aligned, and production-ready. Requires experience implementing point cloud scans into field dimensions.
- Collaborate with the Production Engineering team to validate constructability and integration with Microvellum (if applicable)
- Label all parts clearly, call out materials, hardware, and finishes, and produce BOMs for internal use
- Use Bluebeam to review markups and communicate redline changes
- Contribute to drafting standards, typical details, and workflow improvements
- Participate in drawing reviews with Project Managers, Production Engineers, and the Engineering Manager
Experience
- 3–5 years of custom architectural millwork drafting experience
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam
- Ability to interpret architectural and interior design drawings, redlines, and technical markups
- Deep understanding of millwork construction, cabinetry methods, hardware integration, and field constraints
- Familiarity with 3D modeling software (SketchUp, Revit) and/or Microvellum is a plus, but not required
- Clear communicator with a collaborative, solutions-driven mindset
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple project timelines
