Watson Protective Services is seeking an Armed Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our apartment community located in the PG County area. In this position, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment for residents, staff, and visitors, while serving as a strong deterrent to any potential threats.
Responsibilities:
- Stand and patrol the apartment community premises regularly to maintain order and establish a visible security presence.
- Monitor and authorize the entrance of residents, staff, and visitors into the community.
- Identify and confront unauthorized individuals as necessary.
- Respond to alarms or suspicious activities by investigating and assessing the situation.
- Provide assistance to residents and staff in need, ensuring a supportive environment.
- Document and report daily security activities and any irregularities.
- Ensure that all security equipment is operational and properly maintained.
Skills:
- Knowledge of advanced security protocols and procedures.
- Proficient in conflict resolution and management techniques.
- Military or law enforcement experience is a plus.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Familiarity with surveillance methods is beneficial.
- Understanding of loss prevention and emergency response strategies.
Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time with limited access to your cell phone.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Must maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) if operating a company vehicle.
- Must have an active gun permit.
