Watson's Greenhouse is growing! We are seeking a Visual Merchandiser for our new store in Olympia.
The Merchandiser is a critical link between consumers and the products on store shelves. In partnership with the Gift Sales team, the Merchandiser is ultimately responsible for executing the visual plan for the Gift department as well as making real-time adjustments based on customer feedback and shopping trends. The position ensures the right product is in the right place at the right time to maximize Watson’s sales.

Position Responsibilities
- Executes provided display plan; ensuring that plans and changes to store schedule are adhered to efficiently.
- Takes initiative to adjust the provided display plan in response to customer shopping data.
- Ensures new or changing products are safely and efficiently stocked and aligned with the Watson’s style and brand.
- Communicates with store management to identify and resolve issues to ensure 100% completion of projects in a timely manner: able to continue to move merchandise to increase sales in absence of store management.
- Contribute to design decisions and then execute the agreed upon Company brand and design decisions.
- Able to collaborate with remote team members and Merchandising Department Manager as well as interfacing departments including but not limited to Fulfillment, Customer Experience and Purchasing.
- Builds physical displays when necessary.
- Maintains an organized and efficient backstock area.
- Oversees special projects as they are assigned.
- Active on the floor, tracking merchandise through to sale.
- Assisting customers with sales as needed.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
- Position Requirements
- Previous merchandise experience required.
- Merchandise portfolio desired.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Must possess a clear understanding of design-centered merchandising processes.
- Ability to work without a planogram.
- Sales experience desired.
- Collaborative team mentality, proactive, fast-paced, flexible, self-starter.
- Dedicated and strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Clear, concise, and transparent communication style; asks for clarification when needed.
- Innovative forward thinker.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Must be able to lift or move up to 50lbs, and push/pull racks on wheels of 100lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to stand, climb, squat, bend, twist, and stand for extended periods of time.
- Willing to work flexible and long hours during peak season, with weekends required.
- Willing to work a flexible schedule of days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Able to stand for an 8-hour shift.
- Must be able to lift or move up to 50lbs, and push/pull racks on wheels of 100lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
