Job Summary
As the friendly face and brand ambassador of Watson’s Greenhouse and Nursery, the Customer Experience Specialist supports customers from the moment they walk into our store all the way through to checkout. We are proud of the high quality, high service shopping experience we offer our customers and this role is key to conveying our passion for living – garden, home and life – to everyone who visits.
Position Responsibilities
- Engage walk in guests promptly, personally and with the goal of opening the conversation and ensuring they feel welcome
- Understand who our guests are, what brought them to Watson’s, their intent and timeline to purchase, creating a connection and personalize shopping experience
- Swiftly and adeptly operate the cash register ringing up sales, bagging items, requesting price checks, honoring coupons, collecting payment and giving appropriate change, etc.
- Provide the highest level of customer service to all customers
- Value a proactive team-player outlook, jumping in to help your co-workers, leaving things better than how you found them
Required
- Customer service experience required
- Positive, enthusiastic and passionate
- Strong sense of team mentality and reliability
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Technologically savvy
- Ability to work weekends
- Gardening experience and/or plant knowledge a plus
