Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role is essential in providing high-quality care and support to enhance the lives of our clients through applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques.
Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
- Assist clients in developing skills necessary for daily living, including personal hygiene and social interactions.
- Collect and maintain accurate data on client progress and behaviors.
- Document medical records and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to ensure consistency in care plans and behavioral strategies.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills in behavioral therapy and applied behavior analysis.
- Support clients in achieving their goals through positive reinforcement and structured activities.
Experience
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred.
- Background in special education or related fields is a plus.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation, and care plans is beneficial.
- Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and behavioral therapy practices is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in collecting data for behavioral assessments or interventions is advantageous.
