Real Estate Paralegal

Job Description
· Maintain and assist in building good relationships with clients, realtors and lenders.
· Communicate with clients, realtors, and lenders throughout transactions.
· Maintain closing calendar and due diligence dates for attorneys.
· Process incoming title orders and obtain necessary information or documentation for the file, including property descriptions, loan information and purchase contracts.
· Open new files or locate and pull existing files on properties when a title order is received.
· Input contract and loan information into Softpro.
· Request all necessary information from lenders, realtors, buyers, sellers and payoff lenders for closing and input into Softpro.
· Prepare closing documents in Softpro, including HUD Settlement Statements, Closing Disclosure Forms, affidavits, deeds, exhibits, tax-related closing documents, etc.
· Manage escrow account by balancing all receipts and disbursements for each closing, including posting, and printing checks and initiating wires.
· Process files post-closing.
· Receive and place phone calls, taking messages for attorneys as needed.
· Make copies of files or documentation as requested.
· Attend meetings or closings when requested.
· Enter time for attorneys as provided and assist with monthly bills.
Full-time Position- Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm with one hour lunch break.
