The National Sales Manager - Commercial is a well-rounded business professional who is responsible for managing sales programs and strategic planning initiatives within our dealer and A&D networks to ensure that all sales targets are met. This key results-driven position works closely with our independent sales representatives, customer service, and marketing team members to increase sales volume. The national Sales Manager must have a strong desire to win, be a fast learner, have the experience and ability to train, speak and present at industry events.

What You’ll Do:

  • Accomplish sales objectives by leading, training and managing individual sales representatives. This includes communicating expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing and driving great business results aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Achieves sales objective by contributing territory and key account sales information and recommendations to strategic plan and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; resolving problems; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
  • Meets targeted sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; managing discount.
  • Effectively presents Continuous Education courses and to the A&D community, trains sales representatives, dealers, and the design community on competitive advantages of Watson solutions.
  • Establishes sales objectives by creating business plans for key accounts along with business plans for each territory to ensure they support company objectives and promote growth.
  • Drives new product opportunities and service changes by surveying consumer needs and trends, tracking competitors.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by participating and attending industry and customer events, educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.
  • Accomplishes sales and organization strategy while maintaining the company mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Works effectively with internal company teams and provides voice of the customer intelligence.
  • Maintains operational customer improvements by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing company policies and procedures.
  • Contributes to sales team by accomplishing related goals and providing opportunities for improvement in areas that will drive the strategy and promote growth.
  • Work company assigned hours for the position and additional hours if needed (regular and predictable attendance is required).

 

Qualifications


What you’ll need to know:

  • Minimum 10 years progressive sales experience managing independent sales team and key accounts in contract furniture industry.

    • Excellent time management and prioritization skills (self-directed and able to function at a high level without supervision).

 

    • Ability and willingness to learn company software/CRM system for reporting and data analysis.

 

    • Ability to organize and plan - Creating and meeting schedules, taking ownership, fully accountable and responsive to others.

 

    • Customer centric- Recognizing and promoting the importance of meeting customer needs- both inside and outside the organization. Resolving internal and external issues with sensitivity and cooperation.

 

    • Ability to use good judgment when making decisions (maintaining professionalism, flex when needed and emotional composure.)

    • Remote position with approximately 70% of time spent traveling.

 

Wage and Compensation

  • This role can expect to earn between $125,000 and $130,000 per year , plus commission based on sales volume.

Our Benefits

  • INSURANCE | All employees and their dependents will have the ability to enroll in medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans. If enrolled, benefits begin on the first day of the month following the 60th day of employment at Watson.
  • RETIREMENT | Watson will match 50% of employees’ 401k contributions, up to 2.5% of base annual salary. All employees over the age of 21 will be automatically enrolled on the first day of the month following 6 months of employment. You can opt out, decrease, or increase contribution at any time.
  • PAID TIME OFF | Hourly employees will earn 80 hours of paid time off during their first year at Watson, 120 hours of paid time off during years 2-5, and 160 hours of paid time off each year after being employed for 6 years.
  • PAID HOLIDAYS | Watson is closed for 8 holidays every year and offers every employee an additional paid holiday to choose upon employment.
  • PROFIT SHARING | Profit Sharing is how we reward the effort and commitment of our employees. Generally, 25% of profits are allocated to the Profit Sharing Plan after the baseline profit level is met. The overall profit sharing amount varies from year to year.
  • EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM | This is a free service for all employees and dependents to provide support for any mental, emotional, relational, and financial need, as well as crisis and grief support.
