Mechanical Engineer I
Location : Greater Philadelphia area (some remote capacity)
Some remote capacity with occasional site / office visits
Salary : to $100K plus bonus (doe)

Position Overview : Support senior engineers in designing electrical systems for various clients. Coordinate with the design team and Project Manager to execute project objectives efficiently. This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
Responsibilities :
Perform engineering calculations, prepare single line diagrams, size electrical components and equipment, conduct short circuit analysis, and prepare technical specifications.
Review projects regularly to ensure departmental standards and client requirements are met within the project budget.
Perform design, layout, and checking of electrical systems drawings, ensuring technical correctness according to applicable standards and codes.
Conduct site surveys, energy audits, attend project meetings, and provide field construction support.
Coordinate with facility owners and architects, ensuring high levels of responsiveness and communication.
Conduct shop drawing reviews and construction administration.
Requirements :
Knowledge of local, state, and national code requirements (IEEE, NFPA, Joint Meeting, FGI Guidelines for Hospitals and Outpatient Facilities, and similar industry standards).
Experience with lighting and electrical load analysis software.
Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience is a plus.
Familiarity with USGBC LEED Rating system and standards is a plus.
Effective time management skills, comfortable with frequent deadlines and transitions.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for preparing presentations and reports.
Proficiency in English.
Education and Experience :
BS in Electrical Engineering.
1-5 years of professional experience in detailed design of electrical systems for critical care and / or laboratory facilities.
Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD or Revit and Building Information Modeling (BIM).
Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is preferred but not required.
