The Foreman Electrician: will be responsible for supervising crews, coordinating work schedules, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes and company standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
As a Foreman You Will
Supervise and lead a team of electricians and apprentices on job sites.
Plan, schedule, and assign tasks to ensure project completion on time and within budget.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings.
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems, including wiring, conduit, panels, and fixtures.
Ensure work is performed in compliance with NEC, local codes, and safety regulations.
Conduct quality control checks and ensure adherence to project specifications.
Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and materials.
Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other trades to ensure seamless workflow.
Train and mentor team members to develop skills and enhance job performance.
Complete daily reports, work logs, and necessary documentation.
Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide solutions to keep projects on track.
Promote and enforce safety protocols on-site to prevent hazards and accidents.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
High school diploma or GED required; technical training or apprenticeship completion preferred
Licenses/Certifications
Valid Journeyman Electrician License (required).
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (preferred).
Skills
Strong knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Proficiency in using electrical tools, meters, and testing equipment.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including extreme weather conditions.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, bend, and work at heights or in confined spaces.
Requires travel to job sites as needed.
Overtime and weekend work may be required based on project demands.
