We design and manufacture valves and drains that promote comfort and safety in commercial, residential, industrial, and municipal applications. Our products help keep the Earth's most precious resource safer, cleaner, and more useful for our customers.
The Materials Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless production of product and cost-focused initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct the supervision of Buyer/Planners.
- Lead the team to work in a safe manner at all times and comply with safety policies and standards.
- Ensure timely availability of materials to the production floor, monitor usage and inventory levels of material, and ensure materials in inventory comply with regulatory mandates.
- Support Lean initiatives by implementing paperless/visual supply processes linking suppliers and Point-of-Use.
- Create and sustain measurement systems for supplier performance.
- Supervise the Buyer/Planner team.
- Maintain knowledge of plant processes, techniques, tools, and equipment.
- Additional projects as necessary.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent education and experience.
- 10 years demonstrated experience in materials management within an industrial equipment manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Lean principles of Kanban signals, daily deliveries, inventory at point-of-Use, and Kaizen events.
- Ability to travel.
- Project management skills.
- Strong management and leadership background, including coaching and facilitating.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000 per year, plus bonus opportunities.
