Position Summary
We are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team. This role involves operating various types of heavy machinery on-site to excavate, move materials, hoist, and perform preventative maintenance. Operators are responsible for the safe and efficient use of equipment, conducting regular inspections, and performing basic repairs.

Essential Job Functions:
• Enforce Company goals and objectives, Safety, Quality, Production and Employee satisfaction
• Promote a safe work environment through risk identification, mentoring, collaboration and a positive attitude toward completing work within the safety guidelines.
• Maneuvering motorized heavy equipment to ensure accurate removal and placement of materials.
• Loading and offloading earth, rock, debris and other materials from heavy equipment.
• Work with coworkers to ensure a clean and organized project site.
• Work with Project Manager and Field Supervisor to ensure all testing and quality reporting is completed and submitted in a timely fashion.
• Periodic monitoring of materials on site to ensure shortages do not delay production.
• Forward safety issues to the site supervisor immediately to ensure jobsite safety.
• Review measures to improve production, equipment performance, and quality of work. Communicate these suggestions to the site supervisor regularly.
• Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of the crews.
• Analyze and resolve work problems and assist workers in solving work related problems.

Equipment Operation – Skilled in operating skid loaders, excavators, dump trucks, and plows or similar.

Qualifications:

Education and or Experience
1. Associate degree in an equipment operation area of study with 1 year in operator experience the field or
2. High School Diploma and 3 years of operator experience in the field.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
1. Valid Driver’s License
2. CDL
3. OSHA 10 hour
4. First Aid/CPR certificate
5. Ability to clear Security Screening as required for assigned projects
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, (to finger, handle or feel), reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawls. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to sit for long periods of time; use hand to finger, talk and hear phone conversations. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to noisy.
Other Requirements
1. Travel out of town requiring an overnight stay.
2. A clean driving record including no DWI or major violations in the last two years in order to operate Company vehicles on trips to jobsites.
3. Ability to clear a TSA or government background check to access secure and sensitive government areas
