Good communication with Charger and Hunter operators. Ability to follow recording procedures. RESPONSIBILITIES: Start-up, set-up and run auto pour machine, also hand pouring required. Able to use overhead crane for recharging of furnaces. Analyze and correct simple system failures. Inspect the pour and recharge enclosure, prior to starting process. Report mechanical malfunctions to maintenance and/or the supervisor. Use of good judgment and common sense to reduce scrap and serious problems. Maintain area in a neat and orderly fashion. Work is repetitive. Other duties may be assigned. EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent preferred. QUALIFICATIONS: Previous melting experience preferred. SPC charting required. Basic reading, writing and math skills needed. Requires the use of judgment to follow instructions and standard operating procedures. Must be highly safety conscious. *PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk and hear as well as use hands extensively for pushing/pulling, reaching forward and overhead. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move a minimum of 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position can be both mentally and physically demanding. *WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work in manufacturing environment Exposure to excessive heat, dust, dirt, fumes, and noise.
