As the Core Room Setup Technician, you will ensure the proper setup and operation of Core machines, supporting a seamless manufacturing process. Working under the guidance of the Foundry Supervisor, you will help maintain equipment functionality and quality core production.
You Will:
- Set up and adjust Redford machines and ensure proper operation during production.
- Assist belt operators with machine malfunctions and breakdowns, preparing machines for the next shift.
- Inspect core quality to meet manufacturing standards and report mechanical malfunctions or quality issues to maintenance or the supervisor.
- Perform routine operational maintenance on machines and maintain the workspace in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Collaborate with the Pattern Shop on core box modifications as needed.
- Exercise judgment to follow standard operating procedures and instructions.
You Have:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in core making is preferred.
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills required.
- Demonstrated mechanical abilities and aptitude.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
