What are the responsibilities and job description for the Distribution Center EHS Leader position at Watts Water Technologies?
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Ensure the sites are adhering to all applicable federal, state and local regulations relative to workplace environmental health & safety (EHS), interface with government officials, as necessary
- Identify and ensure the execution of a training plan compliance with EPA and DOT, including, but not limited to, New Hire Orientation, Radiation Safety, Powered Industrial Trucks, Fall Protection, Proper Lifting Techniques, Lock-out/Tag-out, Communication, Stormwater Pollution Prevention and Hazardous Materials Handling.
- Ensure effective incident investigation and root cause analysis is conducted across the sites with corrective and preventative actions put into place
- Collect, analyze, and develop action plan relative to safety and health data including safety concerns, near misses, first aids, and recordable accidents.
- Completing and submitting any governmental reports (i.e., OSHA Log, Tier II)
- Assist the onsite Safety Committees across the distribution network
- Assist with emergency preparedness programs (fire drill, tornado, weather, active shooter, etc.)
- Maintain training records and creating monthly reports along with safety presentations as needed
- Participate in regional EHS team best practice sharing and training sessions
- Demonstrate interest in professional development, including working towards Certified Safety Professional certification

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor's Degree with a focus on an industrial health or safety discipline preferred
- 4 Years of experience with health and safety programs in an industrial setting

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
