Money Matters is the financial education program for WCC students. The program meets peer-to-peer with students to work on personal budgeting, credit scores, debt management, paying for college and more. Workdays can include promoting the program at tables around campus, presenting at events, presenting in classrooms, and consulting students. No finance experience necessary.
Responsibilities
Assist students with budgeting, creating an emergency fund, paying for college, credit score education, and more.
Help plan and implement financial/wellness programs and events.
Schedule one-on-one appointments with students.
Complete other duties as assigned by the Assistant Provost of Student Services.
Promote Money Matters program usage at various tabling events including College Night, orientations, Engagement Fair, and others as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Have submitted a FAFSA and qualify for the Federal Work Study program.
A Waubonsee student enrolled in at least one credit.
Have a minimum GPA of 2.0 or above.
18 years old or older.
Be in good standing with Student Conduct.
Be making Satisfactory Academic Progress.
Good communication and customer service skills.
