What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bilingual Language Liaison - Summer School position at Waukegan Community Unit District 60?
- Remotely meet with and respond to calls from parents to provide native language translation;
- Assist with translation of registration process for parents;
- Attend and translate parent conferences, as needed;
- Assist related services staff in translating their findings and recommendations;
- Provide written translation of pertinent special education documents and forms;
- Attend meetings and professional development, as directed by Diverse Learner Administrator and/or Site Administrator;
- Perform other duties assigned by the Director of Diverse Learners, Site Administrator, and/or other Diverse Learner Administration.

Waukegan Community Unit School District No. 60 serves nearly 14,000 students in preschool through grade 12 and is located halfway between Chicago, Illinois and Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the shores of Lake Michigan. Our District has one early learning center, 15 elementary schools, five middle schools and a high school program divided between two 9 – 12th grade campuses. The District encompasses portions of Waukegan, Beach Park and Park City.

Qualifications: Paraprofessional License, PARA(ELS). Have passed District Language Liaison requirements
Endorsement(s): Paraprofessional Educator Pre-Kindergarten through Age 21
Salary: Based on current hourly wages
