What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator for ELL K-12 Testing: Saturday and Summer position at Waukegan Community Unit District 60?
- To develop two Timeline Plans to assess students K-12 on Saturday and during summer break.
- In cooperation with the Secretary to the EL Director, prepare the Language Assessor posting to be sent to HR.
- In collaboration with the Data Secretary, reserve the building to be used for testing.
- In coordination with the EL Director, hire teachers.
- To develop and conduct K-12 WIDA Training for spring & summer testing.
- To coordinate with the Data Manager and/or Data Secretary to get the list of students to be assessed.
- To supervise the scheduling of appointments for Saturday/summer testing.
- During summer break: to hire assessors as needed to place students without delay.
- To open the building each session and make sure the facility is ready.
- To distribute all materials and forms needed for testing.
- To supervise every aspect of the assessment of ELL students.
- To close and secure the building each session.
- To conduct an inventory of the testing materials, and return them to the Language Assessor’s Office.
- Prepare and maintain all Testing Scores Spreadsheets.
- To submit the timesheets on schedule.

Waukegan Community Unit School District No. 60 serves nearly 15,500 students in preschool through grade 12 and is located halfway between Chicago, Illinois and Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the shores of Lake Michigan. The District has one early learning center, 15 elementary schools, five middle schools and a high school program divided between two 9 – 12th grade campuses. Qualifications: Must have a valid Illinois Administrative Certificate Type 75, (Bilingual Certification and/or ESL endorsement preferred). Minimum of 10 years of experience working with the administration of WIDA & IPT Screener and 5 years supervising similar positions.

capable of working with teachers, parents, and students, able to comply with strict deadlines, competent to work
independently and under pressure.
Salary: $48 per hour
Work Year: 2024-2025
