Waukegan Community Unit School District No. 60 serves nearly 15,500 students in preschool through grade 12 and is located halfway between Chicago, Illinois and Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the shores of Lake Michigan. The District has one early learning center, 15 elementary schools, five middle schools and a high school program divided between two 9 - 12th grade campuses. The District encompasses portions of Waukegan, Beach Park and Park City.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Directly responsible to the building principal, indirectly responsible to Instructional Technology Director keeping them informed of building status regarding equipment, software and usage issues.
Responsibilities :
- Manage all computer related equipment and supplies in assigned building;
- Assist staff with primary level troubleshooting for software, computer, and printer related problems;
- Submit all building secondary level repair requests to the appropriate district technology technicians; Maintain building inventory database of technology related equipment and supplies;
- Assist students in the classroom with instructional computer application usage;
- Assist with the correct use of computer programs and equipment;
- Help document student time on task using learning programs at the computer station in the classroom;
- Organize distribution of instructional computers, printers and software in assigned building;
- Follow procedure developed by district technician for primary level troubleshooting related to equipment malfunctions;
- Work with building based lead teachers / principals in designing plan and schedule for assisting in use of technology for classroom instructional support learning.

Qualifications : Professional Educators License, PARA(ELS).

Compensation : Per Contract
Additional Information : No more than two days can be missed without jeopardizing dismissal and termination of the contract unless extenuating circumstances prevail. An hourly rate per hour will be deducted for each hour or partial hour missed. This includes time before and after the start and end of the school day and all professional development sessions.
