About Us: Waukesha Gun Club is one of Wisconsin’s premier shotgun-only facilities, boasting 17 Trap houses, 2 Sporting Clays courses, 5 Skeet ranges, and 4 5-Stand houses. We pride ourselves on providing a top-notch experience for shooting enthusiasts and are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team.
Position Overview: At Waukesha Gun Club, you’ll be working in a indoor environment. This role involves administrative tasks and event planning that ensure our facilities operate smoothly and our customers have an exceptional experience.
This position includes one night a week, two weekends a month with additional shifts throughout the year to work events during non-operating hours. Possible bartending shifts could be available to you.
Key Responsibilities:
- With oversight from the general manager, manages the procurement and inventory of clays, shells and all other products essential to the sporting operations.
- Manages and schedules the staff appropriately and efficiently.
- Ensures the daily opening/closing tasks are being followed by office and bartending staff.
- Works with the general manager to coordinate large scale events.
- Supervise front desk staff and provide guidance on customer service best practices.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Handles complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.
Requirements:
- Experience with shooting or hunting required.
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends.
- 18 years of age.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive) and familiarity with office equipment
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
- A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
