Business Relations Manager
ROLE:
The Business Relations Manager role provides hands on leadership for the design, support, service delivery, and strategic vision for existing and new Enterprise SAP services including ECC, HCM, BW, Portal, Solution Manager, etc. This role works closely with the business to ensure appropriate fixes and enhancements are prioritized and executed at the proper speed to deliver value to the business.
As the Business Relations Manager, this individual, will provide direct supervision of, and ultimately responsible for the support of the SAP landscapes. This person will work with both business and other IT teams to provide a highly available, high performance SAP environment.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- An energetic self-starter with excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills capable of working with members across different disciplines and locations.
- Performs SAP system administration, providing insight to optimize and maintain the overall SAP landscape, including reliability, availability, and performance.
- Establish SLAs and provide leadership / hands-on support to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for leading ticket prioritization meetings with both the business as well as the technical team.
- Continuously drive operational excellence in the areas of quality improvement, process improvement, optimization, and enhancing the customer experience.
- Works closely with technical and application teams to ensure effective capacity planning and optimization of the SAP landscape.
- Define and implement effective and efficient support models and processes.
- Provide leadership and execute SAP upgrades/releases, including support/enhancement pack implementations.
- Ensure regulatory and legal compliance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with colleagues in the SAP professional community.
- Experienced with vendor interactions and staff augmentation services as necessary.
- Experience with product/life cycle, vendor and contract management within the SAP Landscape.
- Provide leadership implementing SAP services.
- Assist with design and implementations of SAP integrations into Third Party Applications.
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or in a related technical discipline or equivalent education, technical training and experience.
- 15 years of experience working within Information Technology.
- 5 years of management experience.
- Experience working with globally dispersed teams.
- Must have excellent broad level experience on the SAP platform.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Broad knowledge of business process business systems.
- Ability to manage complex issues across a variety of platforms.
- Excellent communication skills believing in collaboration and knowledge sharing, ability to work as an individual or team member.
- Ability to manage large projects.
- Ability to work effectively across a Global IT organization and the business functional areas.
- Understanding of IT Risk and SOX Compliance.
