Description
The Waupun Area School District is seeking a Multi-Lingual Paraprofessional/Interpreter for the 2025-26 school year.This position provides assistance and support to Bi-lingual students. This is a district wide position and travel may be required.
Candidates must have post-secondary education or be willing to complete course work to fulfill DPI Title 1 requirements. Preferred applicants will be fluent in Spanish (speaking, writing) and a strong understanding of the second language.
The Waupun Area School District is a 4K-12 school district serving a population of 1900 students in South Central Wisconsin. Located conveniently on Hwy 151, Waupun is only 45 minutes north of Madison and 20 minutes south of Fond du Lac. WASD is home to four schools, including a charter school in Fox Lake. The Waupun Area School District consists of Meadow View Primary School (grades 4K-1), Rock River Intermediate School (grades 2-6), the Junior/Senior High School (grades 7-12), and SAGES Charter School (Fox Lake, grades 4K-6).

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Experience, Training, and Licensure
- Translate documents accurately
- Interpret for parents at meetings/conferences, IEP meetings, etc.
- Collaborate and communicate with parents and teachers
- Develop positive home/school relationship
- Provide academic support for ML students in classrooms, 1-on-1, or in small groups

- Develop rapport and maintain positive interactions with students and other stakeholders
- Assist students in developing basic literacy, numeracy, and self-care skills
- Assist teacher with all aspects of instructional operations and strategies
- Work independently with students both in small and large group settings
- Must be physically fit and mobile as position may require the aide to bend, stoop, and spend long periods of time on the floor.
- Skilled at motivating students, monitoring student activity, and maintain student engagement in the appropriate task
- Operate computer software, electronics, and devices used for instruction and related programs.

- Provide student supervision as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
