What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coater Utility (1st, 2nd & 3rd shift) position at Wausau Coated Products?
Overview:
The Coater Utility is responsible for pulling raw material rolls and finished master rolls away from the coating lines and storing those materials in racking, as directed by the production supervisors and coater operators. This position will also be responsible for blending and mixing UV Hotmelt adhesive during times in which they are not being utilized to pull materials from the coating lines.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday; 1st shift (7am-3pm), 2nd shift (3pm-11pm), or 3rd shift (11pm-7am) options available. Overtime as needed.
Essential Duties:
- Follow all Company safety policies and safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Follow all Company policies, rules, and regulations.
- Act as a professional representative of Wausau Coated Products, Inc. at all times.
- Operate a powered industrial truck safely and efficiently.
- Keep coating lines clear of raw materials rolls and finished Master rolls that are no longer needed.
- Scan and store items according to established location scanning procedures.
- Manage the most effective and safe storage of raw material and finished master rolls within the racking and warehouse.
- Move inventory to various locations using forklift, pallet jack or hand cart.
- Enter data into Company-specific computer system, APEX.
- Maintain computerized inventory records, take physical count periodically and check against inventory control totals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Carry and operate company supplied walkie-talkie, to receive direction from coater operators and supervisors.
- Communicate effectively to oncoming/outgoing Coater Utility at shift changes.
- Safely and efficiently, blend and mix UV Hotmelt adhesive as needed, per the direction of the production supervisor.
- Safely utilize powered barrel lift in order to move barrels of UV Hotmelt Adhesive.
- Continually demonstrate a productive and non-disruptive work ethic, communicating with management regarding employee relations issues and safety concerns.
- Work in such a way to create high-quality output with a continuing desire to learn new things and improve the efficiency of work processes.
- Maintain Company equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly manner and notify management of any damage to equipment, product, or other Company property.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.80 - $22.80 per hour
