The Human Resources Specialist – Certified Staff has primary responsibility for functions within the Human Resources Department relating to system maintenance, daily technology support, and process flow of all Certified Staff employees. The position provides support for the District’s mission to advance student learning, achievement and success. This is a full-time position and qualifies for health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, short term and long term disability, paid sick leave, personal leave, and retirement through the Wisconsin Retirement System. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Human Resources Management: Implements all aspects of the employment process for certified staff, including, but not limited to, issuing contracts, answering handbook interpretation questions, processing staff changes including new hires, transfers and terminations. Tracks and manages personnel file data such as evaluations, required licensure and certifications.
- Employment Process Management: Assists with leadership in the areas of recruitment, onboarding, handbook and compensation processes and other strategic areas impacting certified staff.
- Payroll Data Management: Sets up annualized payroll data of certified staff for bi-weekly payroll. Processes pay changes and accounting adjustments for staff as appropriate.
- Budget Process: Prepares, Maintains and Manages the certified staffing process and related documents. Ensures position maintenance in the HRIS system is accurate and aligned to the finance budgeting system and staffing protocols. * Payroll Data Management: Sets up annualized payroll data of certified staff for bi-weekly payroll. Processes pay changes and accounting adjustments for staff as appropriate.
- Communications and Data Management: Prepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations and other documents including Board of Education agenda consent items. Maintains personnel files and paperwork for certified staff in the District. Serves as a System Administrator for the professional development management system and electronic evaluation system for the district.
- Reporting resource for others: Assists in providing a variety of data reports to respond as needed to public information requests that the District may receive, annual required reports from outside agencies such as the Department of Public Instruction, and other district needs.

EDUCATION: Desired: Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related field.
WORK EXPERIENCE: Desired: Human Resources experience.
