What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative position at Wausau Window and Wall Systems?
The Customer Service Representative acts as primary contact for AFS Sales Representatives and Customers. Also, prepares complete production orders to be used by manufacturing in the building of windows, storefront, and curtain wall. This position requires minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Process and track status of orders by coordinating inter-department work and obtain required data for both AFS and customers.
Assist customer with any questions about their order. This includes technical, estimating, or production/ scheduling assistance.
Prepare orders from take offs.
Ability to answer questions from manufacturing regarding specific production orders, deferring more advance questions to appropriate parties.
Ensure the customer receives proper service through processing orders, preparing general correspondence, and coordinating with other departments.
Heavy interaction with customers on the telephone and through email. Must be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to answer some more advanced product questions, referring more in-depth questions to Engineering personnel.
Act as a liaison between the customer and other departments.
Work independently to solve routine problems, requiring assistance from Express/ Expedite Supervisor for more difficult issues.
Provide material quotations to customer/ reps.
Write basic factory orders.
Maintains a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.
Adhere to AFS policies and standard operating procedures.
Any additional duties assigned by Supervisor.
Participates in EFCO's Continuous Improvement efforts by understanding his/her team's performance and actively implementing and supporting process improvements.
Flexibility of work hours including overtime.
Experience & Skills
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction or Project Management is preferred; and/ or a minimum of 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Mostly an office environment with occasional visits to the manufacturing floor (proper PPE must be worn on manufacturing floor).
