Senior Cost Estimator

Core Responsibilities:

·         Estimate cost and lead time of customer components for our volume machining division.

o   Determine best manufacturing processes to achieve desired part dimensions and tolerances.

§  Collaborate with floor leads to determine best manufacturing practices as needed.

o   Estimate programming and set up times, cycle times, labor, materials, and outside services as required.

§  Collaborate with floor leads as needed for programming, set up, cycle, and labor estimates.

§  Collaborate with purchasing for materials and outside services estimates.

o   Determine lead time based on internal capacity, materials, and outside services.

§  Collaborate with production manager and purchasing department as needed to determine lead times.

·         Participate in quote review meetings as required.

·         Participate in job kick-off meetings as required.

·         Work toward meeting departmental key performance indicators (KPI’s)/measurables.

·         Read and understand blueprints.

·         Strong understanding of GD&T.
