Internship Experience

The Finance Intern will support the Finance team in the preparation and analysis of financial forecasts and budget process. The Finance Intern will work with various financial data systems to generate financial reports, analyze variances, and assist with data visualization efforts using tools like Tableau and Power BI.
Where You Will Work
The base compensation for this position is $20.00 per hour. The base pay represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job.

The Finance Intern will support the Finance team in the preparation and analysis of financial forecasts and budget process. The Finance Intern will work with various financial data systems to generate financial reports, analyze variances, and assist with data visualization efforts using tools like Tableau and Power BI.
Where You Will Work
- This opportunity offers the flexibility to work from your home office, but may need to commute to the Princeton, NJ office as needed on an intermittent basis.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports, including variance analysis and budget tracking.
- Utilize data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar) to design and update financial dashboards and reports.
- Gather financial actuals from internal data systems to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Upload and manage budget data in Planful, ensuring smooth transitions between different stages of the budgeting process.
- Maintain and update financial databases and assist with process improvements.
- Provide assistance with ad-hoc financial modeling and special projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial initiatives and report findings to senior finance members.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is preferred.
- Prior experience in data analysis, financial modeling, or budget forecasting is a plus.
- Experience managing projects or tasks with deadlines, demonstrating the ability to work in a structured environment.
- Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Sheets for data analysis.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to identify discrepancies in financial data and ensure accuracy in reporting.
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
