Internship Experience
Astound offers interns the opportunity to participate in company- and market-impacting projects, while learning about the industry, your chosen field, and leadership. Interns will experience the following:
The Project Management Intern will provide administrative and operational support to the Engineering department, specifically assisting with large-scale infrastructure rebuild projects. The intern will be responsible for supporting project planning, tracking, and reporting activities. The intern will play a key role in monitoring timelines, updating project documentation, and coordinating with engineering and field personnel.
Where You Will Work
The base compensation for this position is $20.00 per hour. The base pay represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job.

The intern will be responsible for supporting project planning, tracking, and reporting activities. The intern will play a key role in monitoring timelines, updating project documentation, and coordinating with engineering and field personnel.
Where You Will Work
- This opportunity offers the flexibility to work on a hybrid schedule based out of Astound's Waco, TX office.
- Assist Project Managers in developing and maintaining project tracking tools.
- Support the preparation and distribution of daily and weekly project status reports.
- Utilize spreadsheets and Gantt charts to track progress, milestones, and deliverables.
- Maintain project documentation, including schedules, reports, and meeting notes.
- Coordinate with engineers and other stakeholders to gather updates and ensure accuracy of project data.
- A major system modernization initiative upgrading legacy coaxial cable systems to advanced communication infrastructure.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Prior experience with Gantt chart tools and basic project scheduling concepts.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
