Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehabilitation Technician to join our team. Duties
- Assist in the rehabilitation of animals through various therapeutic techniques and exercises.
- Implement and monitor rehabilitation protocols as directed by veterinarians.
- Maintain aseptic technique during procedures to prevent infection.
- Provide proper animal restraint during examinations and treatments.
- Administer medications and perform basic veterinary care under supervision.
- Conduct routine assessments of animal progress and report findings to the veterinary team.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of rehabilitation equipment and facilities.
- Educate pet owners on at-home care practices to support their animal's recovery.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all animals.
Requirements
- Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and husbandry practices is essential.
- Experience with animal handling.
- Familiarity with veterinary critical care procedures is advantageous.
- Proficiency in animal catheterization techniques is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing exceptional care.
- Able to use different forms of equipment such as laser, underwater treadmill, etc.
