Are you a dependable and customer-focused individual with excellent communication skills? WAVE is currently seeking dedicated drivers to join our team and facilitate the timely delivery of various orders, including corporate catering, to a diverse range of locations.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver a variety of food orders, including catering delivery, within a designated radius.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries to businesses, doctor’s offices, schools, residences, and more.
- Utilize your own vehicle, two catering bags, and a delivery cart (required for all catering orders).
- Complete mild set-up, such as arranging food in breakrooms or conference rooms.
- Communicate effectively with the dispatch team, reporting any issues or delays.
- Receive and confirm order details, including pay rate, approximately an hour and a half before each delivery.
- Respond promptly to dispatch team messages to confirm availability.
- Maintain flexibility to accept or reject jobs up until one and a half hours before the scheduled pick-up time.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of rejected jobs to the dispatch team.
- Weekly pay on Fridays via direct deposit, with the first paycheck arriving one week after the initial delivery.
- Receive additional compensation for waiting more than 30 minutes at the delivery location.
Requirements:
- Dependable vehicle, two catering bags, and a delivery cart.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle various orders, including large catering orders, and perform mild set-up.
- Reliable responsiveness to dispatch team communication.
- Flexibility to accept or reject jobs based on availability.
- Adherence to delivery schedules and timely reporting of any issues.
