About the role
The ideal Project Manager candidate has experience in real estate, construction, or an adjacent industry and is an excellent communicator. The right candidate is someone who is detail oriented, can manage material and personnel, and works well in a team context. Lighting knowledge is optional - Wavelength is glad to invest in the training of talented team members!
Responsibilities
The Project Manager will manage mission-critical lighting retrofit and distribution project tasks such as:
- Handling project mobilization, including reviewing architectural drawings and assessing a project’s technical elements
- Producing submittals, issuing RFIs, and adapting to changes in the project through its lifecycle
- Specifying lighting equipment when required, ensuring all details are accounted for and within budget
- Accurately procuring the required equipment for a project and managing the flow of equipment from manufacturer to warehouse to site
- Managing subcontractors effectively
- Communicating clearly with real estate and construction clients and our partners in the marketplace
- Tracking project progress and presenting updates internally and externally
- Creating proposals to support business development efforts
- Supporting projects both in office and on site

Other qualifications
- Construction, real estate, or adjacent industry project management experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Suite
- Familiarity with construction-specific technology (ProCore, BlueBeam, BuildingConnected, etc.) a plus
- The real estate and construction industries have a language and a rhythm all of their own. The right candidate for this role ideally has experience in these or an adjacent field, and is capable of hitting the ground running
Job details
- Full time position; $60,000-$70,000 annually plus benefits
- Hybrid position; office in Downtown Brooklyn
