We seek a Product Manager for Hardware Products at Wavelynx, to be the champion and strategist for our access control controllers and reader devices, driving the overall vision, roadmap, and market success. This pivotal role requires deep understanding of hardware product development, strategic thinking, and strong collaboration with engineering, design, sales, marketing, and executive teams to ensure our products not only meet current market demands but also anticipate future trends and deliver exceptional value to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Market Analysis & Strategy:

• Conduct thorough market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights gathering to identify opportunities and unmet needs in the access control hardware space.

• Define and articulate the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for Wavelynx's hardware product line, aligning with the company's overall strategic goals.

• Identify target markets, define product positioning, and develop go-to-market strategies in collaboration with marketing and sales teams.

Product Planning & Definition:

• Translate market needs and strategic goals into clear and compelling product requirements, user stories, and use cases.

• Prioritize initiatives and features based on market potential, strategic alignment, customer impact, and technical feasibility.

• Collaborate closely with engineering and design teams to define product specifications, ensuring technical viability and a superior user experience.

Product Development & Launch:

• Lead the product development lifecycle from concept to launch, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery.

• Make critical product decisions and trade-offs throughout the development process.

• Develop and execute product launch plans, working with marketing, sales, and support teams to ensure successful market adoption.

Product Lifecycle Management & Growth:

• Monitor and analyze product performance, market trends, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and new opportunities.

• Define and drive product enhancements, updates, and end-of-life strategies.

• Work with sales and marketing to develop and execute strategies for product growth and market penetration.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.

• 5 years of experience in product management, preferably with a focus on hardware products or access control systems.

• Proven track record of successfully defining, launching, and managing hardware products throughout their lifecycle.

• Experience with Agile methodologies and familiarity with project management tools like JIRA.

• Deep understanding of hardware development processes, including embedded systems, electronics, and firmware, with the ability to engage in technical discussions.

• Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization and with customers.  

• Strong business acumen and understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and financial considerations.

• Familiarity with Agile practices and experience thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Salary: $110k-$120k
