In 2024, we launched a Growth Opportunities fund with aspirations to accelerate Series B and above investments in Southeast Asia. The fund will invest primarily in growth rounds of our existing portfolio companies, paving the way for future Growth Funds investing in companies outside of our portfolio.
We are looking for a Senior Associate - Investment to be a founding member of our Growth Opportunities Fund 1.

How you make an impact
As a founding member of our Growth Opportunities Fund, you will play a key role in establishing the foundations and executing on our investment strategy :
Foundation Building : Setup the foundation for our Growth strategy by designing and implementing robust processes in sourcing, evaluation, closing, and value creation, and fundraising and exit support.
Deal Evaluation : Lead high potential investments by managing the evaluation and due diligence process for deal opportunities, including industry research, the evaluation of financial performance, operational performance and key milestones.
Deal Execution : Deliver seamless execution of a deal through the preparation of investment memos, negotiations and deal structuring, and management of deal execution processes.
Value Creation : Create value for our portfolio companies by delivering high-touch support to our portfolio companies across several value-added initiatives.
Exits and Corporate Development : Generate returns for our LPs by partnering with our portfolio companies to co-develop a strategy for partial secondary and exit opportunities.
Thought Leadership : Represent the firm as a thought leader by authoring thought leadership content for publishing, and presenting / speaking at panels and events. Be a leader among and valuable contributor to the community.
Relationship Building : Deepen relationships with founders, subject-matter experts, advisors, co-investors, exchanges and potential acquirers.
Cultural Steward : Provide mentorship and partnership to team members across Wavemaker’s fund strategies and platform, and serve as a cultural steward for the firm.
What we look for
At least 5 years of experience in growth-stage investing and / or value creation for growth stage companies.
Track record in creating value for growth companies, including driving growth strategy, operational excellence, and organisation and culture building efforts.
Hands-on experience creating financial models and supporting all phases of financial planning, including forecasting, reporting, and analytics is required.
Ability to build trust in relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to build processes, systems and structure in a fast paced and ambiguous environment.
