OB/GYN Physician PRN

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
Performs medical services in accordance with the Iowa Statute and Regulations for Ob/Gyn physicians, providing health care to individuals and families that emphasizes health promotion and disease intervention.  This includes, but is not limited to, comprehensive assessment, ordering, conducting and interpreting diagnostic tests, and performing procedures within the scope of expertise and organizational protocols. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Education, Experience, and Training
   1. Must be currently licensed by the State of Iowaas a Physician with current DEA registration and State of Iowa Controlled Substances Actregistration.
   2. Must be Board Certified or eligible for certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
   3. Must be accepted for Medical Staff membership.
   4. Must be able to possess professional liability insurance.
   5. Must remain current in educational training and credentialing requirements.
   6. Must possess valid certifications as determined by hospital privilege delineation.
   7. Ability to learn and navigate computer systems including the online training modules, the employee timesheet and the performance appraisal system. Job specific systems are also required.
   8. Must be able to read, speak, and write fluent English.
2. Physical Requirements
   1. Sitting – Approximately 25% of shift.
   2. Standing – Approximately 50% of shift.
   3. Walking – Approximately 25% of shift.
   4. Lifting – Approximately 25 pounds.
   5. Twisting – Infrequent.
   6. Bending – Infrequent.
   7. Squat/Kneel – Not a requirement.
