Position Summary:
The Maintenance Director is responsible for managing and overseeing the Life Safety and maintenance operations of the community. The Maintenance Director will ensure compliance of safety regulations and standards, coordinate and prioritize maintenance tasks, and respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee maintenance, operations, and improvement of the property.
- Ensures compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
- Develop community-specific fire safety, disaster, and evacuation procedures and train staff accordingly.
- Perform general maintenance projects and unscheduled maintenance tasks daily.
- Oversees all department services employees to include hiring, training, scheduling, and maintenance of safety and cleanliness to comply with all company, local, state and federal sanitation procedures and regulations.
- Maintains the MSDS log for the community in compliance with OSHA reporting, if applicable.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance services.
- Ensure all rent-ready repairs, services and renovations are completed correctly and on time.
- Must be able to always respond to maintenance emergencies (24/7).
- Performs transportation services in emergency situations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
