Teacher

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Attend intake, discharge, and staffing meetings

• Complete intake data collection, including transcript and credit analysis

• Transfer Edgenuity classes and create accounts

• Technology set-up

• Build At Risk individualized plan and goal setting

• Collaborate with Middle School and High School teachers for students integrating

• Support students who attend middle school or high school electives and core classes

• Check-In/Check-Outs with students

• Co-Teach, Collaborate, and Teach

• Diagnose, Design, and Deliver Specially Designed Instruction for students with identified need areas

• Facilitates classroom meetings focusing on 21st Century Skills, including social, emotional, behavioral, and executive functioning skills instruction

• Develop and monitor credit recovery/retake coursework for high school students

• Design, develop and monitor coursework utilizing Edgenuity Online Educational Programming and face-to-face instruction

• Analyze grade, class, and individual student academic and behavioral data for the purpose of increasing student achievement and making informed decisions relative to instructional practices.

• Participate in professional development and attend meetings related to the job

• Effectively communicate, collaborate, and consult with staff, administrators, parents/guardians, and staff to promote student success and reduce barriers to learning

QUALIFICATIONS & LICENSURE

• Iowa Teacher Licensure 

• Instructional Strategist Endorsement (or willing to obtain)
