This Human Resources Facilitator (HR Facilitator) position focuses on recruiting, staffing, compliance and support for multiple car wash locations, and provides efficient services designed to develop and retain personnel to maximize operational efficiency. Similar to all positions at Waves Express Wash, this position has an important focus on positive interaction with other team members, vendors, and senior management. A team member in this position is expected to perform the following daily human resource service duties:
Recruiting Responsibilities:
- The HR Facilitator is expected to proactively seek candidates for key operational positions to maintain proper staffing levels.
- The HR Facilitator will manage job postings across multiple platforms.
- The HR Facilitator will monitor effectiveness of job postings and response rates to open positions.
- The HR Facilitator is expected to develop and implement innovative recruiting strategies to attract and retain qualified talent.
- The HR Facilitator is expected to proactively maintain a pipeline of qualified job candidates.
- The HR Facilitator will review employment applications and job orders to match applicants with job requirements.
- The HR Facilitator may assist in interviewing job applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education, or job skills.
- The HR Facilitator will participate in informing job applicants of details such as duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, or promotion opportunities.
- The HR Facilitator will assist in selecting qualified job applicants or refer them to managers, making hiring recommendations when appropriate.
Staffing Duties:
- Coordinate with Site Managers during new-hire orientation, onboarding and new-hire training processes.
- Coordinate with Site Managers to address staffing, employee relations issues, work complaints, attendance, and other employee concerns.
- Actively monitor seasonal employees and scheduling restrictions to ensure operational efficiency and stability.
- Provide management with information or guidance related to performance appraisals, coaching techniques, or documentation of performance issues.
- Facilitate Performance Review process to provide continuous coaching and feedback.
- Coordinate with Site Managers to develop and implement consistency in team member performance review process.
- Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
- Hire employees and process hiring-related paperwork.
- Assist in coordinating training as needed for current or prospective employees.
- Maintain documents and training materials in Connecteam.
- Facilitate interactive use of training and skills courses in Connecteam.
Compliance Duties
- Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- Prepare or maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system software as required.
- Maintain and update human resources documents, such as organizational charts, employee handbooks or directories, or performance evaluation forms.
- Conduct exit interviews and ensure that necessary employment termination paperwork is completed.
- Administer employee benefit plans as required.
- Conduct reference or background checks on job applicants as required.
- Monitor industry and make recommendations for developing and maintaining competitive compensation packages.
Position Requirements
- This on-site office position is part-time.
- Schedule is flexible.
- Requires strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Requires ability to communicate in person, via telephone, and via online collaborative platforms (Zoom, Skype, Teams, etc.)
- Requires responsiveness to management and employee requests and concerns in a timely manner.
- Assist with payroll duties when needed.
The HR Facilitator shall also be responsible for all other job duties and responsibilities assigned by the Authorized Agent.
