Job Description
Job Title: Mail Center Associate
Location: Corporate
Department: Store Ops Services
Job Summary: The Mail Center Associate is responsible for the collection, processing, distribution and delivery of incoming and outgoing correspondence throughout the Corporate Campus, Wawa University, and Dairy Complex. Perform the weekly POS distribution process to support our stores currently located in Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia. Provide customer service and support to all corporate and store associates.
Principal Duties:
- Utilize Postal, UPS, and FedEx equipment while following standard operating procedures to process daily outgoing shipments. Record and distribute various incoming shipments / deliveries throughout the Wawa Corporate Campus, University and Dairy Offices.
- Provide customer service and support to all Corporate and Store Associates.
- Provide coverage and support for the Red Roof Front Desk Operator / Receptionist.
- Collaborate and communicate with the Print Shop Department in conjunction with printed materials for the weekly store support distribution process.
- Maintain hot and cold beverage offer in addition to all associated supplies.
- Prepare communications from Marketing, Store Effectiveness, Contact Center, and other corporate departments for the weekly store distribution process. Deliver and return Blue Bags to and from the Transportation location. Answer inquiries from store associates and act as a resource for printed materials and store stamp supplies on an as needed basis.
- Maintain a working relationship with the Finance Department for store communications sent to Red Roof through the Blue Bag process; this includes coupons, and credit receipts. Deliver bank deposits and transport Payroll checks to Transportation for distribution. Obtain and replenish coin orders from the cafeteria.
- Maintain Corporate Services Vehicles which includes performing basic inspections, fueling, and cleaning.
- Satisfy Store requests via the Applix program in conjunction with the Contact Center.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to work well individually and in a team environment with little to no supervision
- Able to communicate effectively

- Ability to prioritize job responsibilities when typical working environment changes
- Must be able to perform the following physical behaviors repetitively: reaching above the shoulder, standing, walking, handling, reaching horizontally and grasping firmly
- Must be able to perform the following physical behaviors frequently: reaching below the waist, pushing buttons, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling and pushing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repetitively
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs occasionally with assistance from a team member
- Must be able to push, using a rolling flatbed, up to 700 lbs frequently
- Mail Center Associates are considered essential personnel, requiring the ability to report to work during inclement weather
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalency test preferred
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Basic Computer Skills – Microsoft Office a plus
