POSITION: Wraparound Zone / Outreach Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:
This position supports the school accomplishing the Worcester Compact: high levels of achievement and outstanding results for every student. This position is accountable for building the capacity of supports in the school and in the community to systematically address students’ academic and non-academic barriers to learning. This position builds empowerment among parents to be effective advocates for their children and partners to teachers. This position uses technology solutions to effectively link school and community resources to the needs of students and families across four domains: academic success, college/career readiness, family stability, and health/wellness. This position serves to facilitate two-way communication between the school and community resources, responding to shifts in needs and resources in ways that support students, from cradle to career, reaching high levels of academic success and college and career readiness.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (to be included along with other responsibilities)
1. Coordinate and manage community resources to support student success across four domains: 1) Academic, 2) College / Career, 3) Family / Community, and 4) Health / Wellness.
2. Create school-based staff teams, procedures, and policies that support positive school culture and triage student needs and arrange the appropriate intervention.
3. Create effective linkages or pathways to community social services.
4. Systematically identify individual student needs in key academic and non-academic areas.
5. Monitor and conduct quarterly reviews of each student’s Individual Success Plan to assess the need for changes in the supports linked to student need for the purpose of accelerating student achievement.
6. Integrate behavioral health and positive behavioral strategies throughout the school.
7. Ensure the delivery of school and community resources, tailoring services to student needs (including prevention, enrichment, early intervention, and intensive / crisis response).
8. Convene relevant agencies and organizations to monitor program effectiveness.
9. Increasing the coherence of community partners with the school’s intended outcomes.
10. Track, measure, and monitor data to map effectiveness
11. Collaborate with other Wraparound Zone Outreach Coordinators to present cases, strategize, and share best practices.
12. Recommend improvements to district policies and school practices to ensure the effective removal of barriers to learning.
13. Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
14. Monitor and implement components, indicators, and measures of the school accountability plan relevant to wraparound services supporting school and student success.
15. Coordinate training and professional development relevant to wraparound support school and community stakeholders.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Refined organizational skills
2. High quality communication skills
3. A minimum of a Bachelor’s level in a relevant field
4. Prior experience developing successful community coalitions to support youth
5. Prior experience developing the capacity of parents as educational partners to support student positive student outcomes
6. Demonstrated success in leading a diverse team
7. Demonstrated successful application of cultural competence leading to positive outcomes
8. Successful advocate for families
9. Successfully uses technology for effective communication and high productivity
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Prior experience managing community supports across the continuum of prevention & enrichment services, early intervention services, and intensive / crisis intervention services
2. Advanced academic degree
3. Demonstrated ability in working with cross-functional teams
4. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with school and district administrators with regard to program implementation.
5. Experience with educational, health, business, and non-profit organizations
6. Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs
7. Ability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese or an African Language.
SALARY: Wraparound Salary Schedule - based on Degree and experience
WORK YEAR: 183 day work year/day flexible schedule required.
