Responsible for inbound receiving and stocking of new merchandise.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receiving of product, assigning put-a-way to bins via RF Scanner.
- Loading / unloading of delivery trucks by sit down fork-lift.
- Ensuring all items received are in accordance with packing slip and P.O.
- Item recognition, ability to count high quantities of products by layer.
- Ensuring items received are in sellable condition; if not, refuse damaged product.
- Notifying purchasing immediately of any damages to product, shortages, mis shipments, overages, etc., prior to delivery driver leaving the facility.
- Signing BOL's for delivery driver based on notations being reported.
- Assist with put aways on sit down forklift, & cherry pickers when needed.
- Electronically posting receiving from P.O via RF scanner to assigned dock date.
- RF Scanner utilization of dock days (1.1.1.11 - 1.1.1.55) while assigning product to the correct bins and consolidation of product as needed.
- Making sure dock date is clear once all the daily receiving has been completed.
- Complete daily MHE forklift equipment inspection forms.
- Daily warehouse participation in cleaning aisles, sweeping the dock, bailing shrink wrap, helping remove broken pallets from the good pallet rotation.
- Daily inspection of all handling equipment for excessive fluid leaks and proper operation.
- Other duties as assigned
