What are the responsibilities and job description for the Swing Shift Warehouse Lead position at WAXIE Sanitary Supply?
Responsible for leading the swing shift warehouse personnel. Assures that
safety and warehouse procedures and guidelines are followed. Reports to
Warehouse Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Writes performance appraisals for all warehouse workers on swing shift for
- Ensure that all afternoon receiving is done in accordance with company
- Oversee and assist with put aways, pulling and staging procedures.
- Maintain a neat and clean warehouse.
- Ensure all safety equipment is used and maintained in working order.
- Ensure all day shift warehouse employees are wearing proper safety shoes
- Ensure safety belts are worn while working.
- Attend and participate in all safety meetings.
- Ensure all fire extinguishers are in working order and have been inspected on
- Work with safety coordinator on the implementation and training of all safety
- Ensure safety inspection report is turned in every Monday.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Requirements:
- Previous warehouse experience, preferably in a fast paced working
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Prior supervisory experience in a distribution and warehousing environment
- Must be able to obtain a WAXIE forklift license (WAXIE to provide training).
- Previous AS400 experience is preferred.
- Good to excellent proficiency level in MS Office programs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
