What are the responsibilities and job description for the Victim Advocate, Thrift Shop position at Waycross Area Shelter for Abused Persons, Inc....?
This is a full-time position working Monday – Friday from 8:30 A.M. – 5:30 P.M. with the primary responsibility of providing exceptional customer service to Thrift Store customers, overseeing the processing of donated items, ensuring all sales transactions are handled properly, providing support, direct services as necessary and/or appropriate; compiling data for monthly statistical reporting.
A two-year college degree in psychology, sociology, social work, or related field is preferred. One-year internship or two years’ work experience in social work, case management or related field with direct service delivery. Five years recovery from personal experience in domestic violence related issues and/or addiction recovery. Must be able to lift fifty pounds, no alcohol or drug violations.

Duties include but are not limited to working with Family Advocate regarding case management of program clients, assisting clients in development of service plans, safety plans, and reassessments as directed by supervisor; providing support, direct services as necessary and/or appropriate and compiling data for monthly statistical reporting.
